NV Bus Garage Experiences Upgrades

Nooksack Valley Schools modernized and improved its bus garage while also making improvements—widening and repaving—to Mitchell Street, all part of flood relief efforts. During the most recent flooding incident three buses received extensive damage as the garage sits in the flood plain. Washington state allocated $2 million to the district for flood-related projects and the state’s funding, along with insurance claims, allowed the district to modernize the garage and expand capacity to address future growth.
